DD1 is Nina
DD2 is Isla

DD3 is never going to get a name unless someone inspires me.

Rose is already a middle name otherwise I would jump at it. I am furious with myself for using great names as middle names. Did I not consider future children?

Iona is lovely but maybe too similar to Isla?
Ottilie is lovely but DP says its pretentious.
Hester I like. A great heroine in The Scarlet Letter. But can I get over the similarity to Fester?

I am worried about using another 4 letter word ending in -a. I don't want them to feel I am hoping for a matching set.

Would most people stick to the pattern or branch out?

Bleenherbe · 10/11/2009 11:50

Branch out
Estella

Sazisi · 10/11/2009 11:52

Alice

Lucy

Sazisi · 10/11/2009 11:52

Eve/Evie would go well

diddl · 10/11/2009 11:53

If the name you like happens to "match", I wouldn´t disregard it solely for that, tbh.

Ruby

Why can't you use a middle name for one DD as a first name for another? There are no rules .

I know many that have done this. My friend has Kate as a middle name and it's also her younger sister's name, no one bats an eyelid. Good luck.

I also love Hester, loved Hermione too before Harry Potter ruined it.

smother · 10/11/2009 12:06

Ooh I was just going to suggest Hermione.

Also:

Leonore
Phoebe

Love the name Nina by the way.

diddl · 10/11/2009 12:07

Was just thinking of Megan.
Like Imogen also!
