Baby boy due soon, DH wants 'James' I am just about prepared to compromise on James, but I have suddenly fallen in love with the following as a middle name- Cosimo

Is that plain cruel?

doesn't nigella lawson have one?

I like both James and Cosimo. Lovely middle name sounds Italian. But I too am very hormonal so who knows?

I like Cosima for a girl too.

Crumpette - perhaps you're a posh eccentric... in which case I think James Cosimo is fine! ;) Who really cares about a middle name anyway. DD is Ellie Flame, we still love it but it's hardly ever used, except for having a smile at when we look at her passport.

Yes-hormonal madness! I should think that he will spend the rest of his life hiding it!

thisisyesterday I love some of those suggestions, thanks

annasmami that's hilarious I tried quentin with DH and he said no.. I tried 'but Quentin Blake is a really cool guy.. or was that Tarantino...' and he was having none of it.

I think perhaps I have to concede that mad middle names may work better for girls (I'd love a mad middle name, personally). Hmm I wouldn't want him asking for deed poll forms on his christmas list then again, perhaps it would be character building......

will go away and try to bash some hormones out of me and think of alternatives! In future if I ever have any more babies they will be named pre-conception to avoid such dilemmas!

thanks everyone
