Oscar for our baby due in December.

I wanted something cool in the middle, like Amos, but DH having none of it!

Of the names I like he has given the nod to James and Finn.

So, Oscar James or Oscar Finn? Surname is three syllables.

Like them both, maybe marginally prefer James.

Good luck!

Hulababy · 03/11/2009 14:11

I like the name Oscar. I think I prefer Oscar James to Oscar Finn.

Vivia · 03/11/2009 14:13

Oscar James is just beautiful!

diddl · 03/11/2009 14:31

Oscar James sounds best to me.

RomanCandleJollster · 03/11/2009 14:49

prefer the name Finn, but think James goes better wth Oscar...
Oscar James (cool initials also!!)

dizzydixies · 03/11/2009 15:30

Oscar James for me too

Bubbaluv · 03/11/2009 15:46

An Oscar is also a type of fish, so Oscar Finn would make me giggle!

birdofthenorth · 03/11/2009 17:46

Oscar James is really nice. It does sound to me like a bit of nod to Irish writers though... Oscar Wilde and James Joyce! Still like it though.

Oscar Finn is lovely too, I wouldn't have thoguht of the fish reference!

Oscar Amos is my favourite though!! Maybe persuade your partner to accept it after you've gone through the trauma of labour and he owes you everything!!!

HerHonesty · 03/11/2009 19:03

james so he has a solid name to fall back on if he doesnt like oscar when he is older.

Tidey · 03/11/2009 19:04

Another vote for Oscar James.

I love Amos (my ds is called Amos), but to me Oscar Amos does not flow together very well. However, it is not often that both names are used together aloud, so this may not matter to you!

Oscar James is classic, I think.Really nice!
Oscar Finley would sound nice, but Oscar Finn doe not sound quite complete iyswim!
