I think Olive is such a refreshing change from the ubiquitous Olivia and rather fancy the others too. What do you discerning MNer name-boffs think?

Would welcome other such old-fashioned-but now-rather-refreshing name suggestions.

My favourite oldies but goodies are Dinah Vera Martha and Phyllis but Im probably alone with that last one. It sounds so pretty to my ears

Olive - oily little fruit that some people dislike. Olivia is much nicer but overused.
Delphine - ok but sound a bit like Dolphin
Delphina - no
Blanche - Deirdre Rachid's mum
Belle - end

Belle would be pretty as a middle name. Delphine is pretty sounding but also reminds me of dolphin. Sorry I’m just not a fan of the others. They don’t sound pretty and though these old lady quirky names may be cute on a child, as an adult I would not like them to be my name.
