10 weeks pg with DC2. DH mentioned that he quite likes Elodie, and I quite like it too - any thoughts? We're very far from decided so would welcome any comments really.

Sorry, let me clarify. I didn't mean that you would shorten the name. I meant that if other children shortened it, as they often tend to, it would end up as Ellie, which is also nice.

I think if you have no French connections it might be odd. It sounds somehow...chavvy in English.
