Felix or Jay??

Hello all. Would be grateful for any opinions on these two names.

Main concerns with Felix are the catfood associations and teasing our son would get because of that.. Also no idea what we would shorten Felix to..

Jay is coming up as main contender since our surmame begins with a J so JJ would be a nice nickname.

Only concern with Jay is that it is only one letter from "gay".. I just want to avoid future teasing / bullying..

Thanks for any advice !!

Not afan of either really.

Jay seems more of a nickname and I like it as a nickname but not as a proper name. Prefer something like James (still JJ and still Jay really).

Felix does remind me of cat food.

I am warming to Jay after meeting a lovely one. It looks pleasing to the eye too.

However, think I would use Jago with the nickname Jay.

Felix is lovely too but I'm hearing this more and more, some have said on here that it's likely to date..?

I think you might be over thinking the teasing aspect on Jay!

I don't like Jay, think it's a bit common.
Love Felix though. Yes, you're always going to get predictable people making the cat connection - but I think it's a really cool name.
