Two names on my mind

Wilma

and

Ludovic (Ludo)

I know Wilma screams The Flintstones, but it's not shown on TV anymore is it? So shouldn't be a big issue for this generation.

Yes Ludovic has been triggered by the (very smug looking) contestent from Masterchef, but it's name I've always been fond of.

What do you think?

I've always loved the name Ludovic...fond childhood memories.

Wilma is nice too.

IMoveTheStarsForNoOne · 15/10/2009 21:03

Ludo is the name of the massive orange monster thing in Labyrinth if that helps

TanyaBranning · 15/10/2009 21:05

Not to my taste at all

ADragonIs4LifeNotJustHalloween · 15/10/2009 21:06

Why would you do that to a child???

LynetteScavo · 15/10/2009 21:11

Because it's cool.

Go Ludovic/Wilma!

tummytickler · 15/10/2009 21:30

Love Ludo (and Labyrinth ).
dh first girlfriend was Wilma! Lovely name, but not for me!

HerHonesty · 15/10/2009 21:58

no.

piscesmoon · 15/10/2009 22:01

No and no.

katnkittens · 15/10/2009 22:07

Yeah he is rather smug looking.... (Dh making me watch every episode) I think he looks a bit like a sad puppy dog?

As for the names... erm no not for me, I can see why you might like them but the associations with Wilma are too strong and Ludovic is nice but just too foreign, child would forever be asked where they were from - 'no ORIGINALLY'.

lovemybabyboy · 15/10/2009 23:57

Salonly-I've been seeing the flinstones quite a lot lately in the mornings on TV (was just thinking the other morning that it was strange seeing it as i hadnt seen it on TV in so long).

IMoveTheStarsForNoOne · 15/10/2009 23:59

LUDO

Sorry
couldn't resist.

MinkyBorage · 16/10/2009 00:03

I LOVE Ludo! It's gorgeous.

IKWYM about Wilma, it's a really sweet name, but maybe the male versions, Wilbur, Wilf are nicer?? Wilma does sound quite american. Dunno, like it but not convinced.

Scorpette · 16/10/2009 00:54

Ludo/Ludovic is a great name, but Wilma will make people think of the Flintstones. I know someone called Wilma and everyone (including me shouts ' Wiiiiilllmmaaaaa!!' at her like Fred Flintstone every time they greet her or want her attention. Do not inflict a lifetime of that on a child

annasmami · 16/10/2009 13:13

I really like Ludovic/Ludwig, nickname Ludo!

Wilma, I'm not so keen on, don't know why...

CocoK · 17/10/2009 16:52

Ludovic is cute - but I associate it with a little boy in the film La Vie En Rose which is about a boy who wants to be/feels like a girl. It's very funny, and the name is great.

Heated · 17/10/2009 16:55

Ludo is great.

Not so enamoured of Wilma.

lalin · 17/10/2009 21:26

please not Wilma, Ludo is OK but I beg you do not burden a child with WILMA

jellybeans · 17/10/2009 22:02

no and no, sorry!

MaggieBehaveOutGuising · 18/10/2009 10:19

Wilma is a bit weak sounding. I prefer Zelda But I like your style direction, lol. Ludovic is good. Love Ludo. I'm wondering if O names aren't a tiny bit (shhshs) over now.??
