In German a Kasper is a (punch&judy) puppet, so I always have to think of that .

I have a friend called this. He endured much "little friendly ghost" teasing when younger.

I think it is quite nice, much better than Jasper.

And good for a Christmas/January baby, after one of the three wise men.

thanks for feedback. I also like Noel. But just by coincedence - he wont be a christmas baby - more of a bonfire night baby most likely (but I'm not keen on Guy lol!)

I think its quite cute (casper that is) but also wonder if it sounds a bit pretentious. Gaah. I dont know. DH will hate it no doubt so I dont even know why I bother asking

I really like it. I like Jasper too.

Hmm might suggest these to DH..

I have a Caspar and love it (but I also love Jasper which dh vetoed). He hasn't had any friendly ghost teasing as yet, but that may change. People have generally liked the name, but I am aware that they may be saying "Pretentious gits" behind our backs. I do love a slightly frou name on a boy though... If ds2 had not been Caspar, he would have been Dexter.

I like Cassius a lot too, but I was put off by the meaning - I'm definitely prone to overanalysing when it come to names .

I love Caspar and Jasper
