Had this picked out since I got pregnant but suddenly thought that is may not go with my surname... too many n's?

Surname begins with B rhymes with Kennett

Thinking middle name Sophia but obviously most people don't use middle names when addressing someone.

What's the consensus?

Love the name Anna...there is a lot of n's but it still sounds ok to me

Concordia · 09/10/2009 23:09

fine by me, but my dd has lots of ms and ns in her name

jasper · 09/10/2009 23:12

sounds lovely

Pyrocanthus · 09/10/2009 23:28

It's absolutely fine. And Anna is a very, very fine name.

Firawla · 09/10/2009 23:29

It goes fine, v nice choice

IMoveTheStarsForNoOne · 09/10/2009 23:30

Anna is a much underused name IMO.

Not sure with surname though, how about Anya/Abi/Alexa/?

brimfull · 09/10/2009 23:33

Annabel trips off the tongue slightly better with the surname. But Anna still works I think.

bosch · 09/10/2009 23:37

Ds1 had a classmate last year with exact same name! It's fine, go for it.

Anya4 · 10/10/2009 09:28

Think it sounds lovely...

Jamieandhismagictorch · 10/10/2009 09:39

It sounds fine. I like the name Anna, and Emma. I think they are having a bit of a resurgence

annamama · 10/10/2009 14:37

Wonderful name! I don't think there's a problem with the surname. Kenneth B... would have been worse.

katnkittens · 10/10/2009 16:20

Fab pleased it seems popular. I think it's really pretty without being too popular.

Hope it doesn't go through a revival though and end up on top 10 lists for the next 10 years!!

katnkittens · 10/10/2009 22:23

I like Anna. I prefer it to Hannah. I think the aches ruin Anna. Anna is not so popular either.

diddl · 11/10/2009 09:49

I don´t think it goes with surname.

Kotek · 31/10/2009 07:48

Anna is fine in your case. (If your surname was Conda I would say no.)
Seriously, 99% of the time she is going to be addressed by her first name only so it doesn't matter too much about the surname, which is not problematic in your case. Anna is such a pretty name. Hannah sounds more harsh to me for some reason, even though it is more popular at the moment. Annabel is nice too but then some would say you have the problem of too many B's - no name is ever going to be perfect, so don't worry unnecessarily!

MaggieOicheSamhain · 31/10/2009 11:09

I don't know. a few tooo many Ns. But it is not that bad. I'm over analysing. Anneliese Bennett might run better, but then if you like the simplicity of anna, anneliese mightn't appeal at all.

Emma Bennett? Ella, Leah, Lydia

Jane Bennett had loads of Ns in her name!

Elizebeth Bennett had loads of Bs in her name.
