I much prefer this list to your boys one.

Verity is top for me, a lovely name for all ages imo.

Camilla is good too, Millie as a nn?

Don't like Saffy as a nn which would put me off Saffrom tbh.

Octavia is ok.

lilysam · 05/10/2009 18:19

Love Verity

all the rest like mildmannered said!

whensmydayoff · 06/10/2009 19:42

Like Camilla and Verity.
Hate Octavia - just silly. It's not a name, a harsh noise - sorry!!
Saffron - it's ok

Jamieandhismagictorch · 06/10/2009 22:23

The only one I like is Verity

Camilla is OK

Octavia is awful (sorry)

ReneRusso · 06/10/2009 22:31

Saffron is my favourite.
Verity is ok.
I like Camilla, but my friend Camilla hates it because its posh.
Octavia is a bit silly and makes me think of a Jilly Cooper novel.

Hope you have a girl witch

Hulababy · 06/10/2009 22:51

From your list: Saffron.

DD has a friend with this name and afaik it is never shortened.

MillyMollyMoo · 06/10/2009 22:53

Verity providing your surname doesn't begin with a D

Fluffaddict · 07/10/2009 11:21

I like Camilla - wouldn't choose any of the others, sorry!

persephoneplum · 07/10/2009 11:36

I love Octavia

I prefer Camille to Camilla.

Verity is awful and Saffron a bit hippy-dippy for my tastes. I loved it when I was 12 and listening to Donovan singing "I'm just mad about Saffron, she's just mad about me." I'm over it, but I guess it is pretty.

Camille instead of Camilla -much softer, less royal.

I don't like the others though.

shootfromthehip · 07/10/2009 11:43

Verity is lovely. Do like Camilla but I too prefer Camille

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 07/10/2009 11:48

Pllleeeeease call it verity. its lovely.

Cortina · 09/10/2009 08:35

Camilla, under used recently for obvious reasons.

Verity - just sounds aspirational to me (sorry) as does Octavia.
