No, I wouldn't.

But my colleague has just had an e-mail from a PR person with Quincy as his first name, and I naturally thought it should be aired here.

She had one from a Hadrian the day before too. I am quite .

I have got them theme tune from Quincy ME going through my head now.

Is she American?

I laughed at this once, but it turned out to be some figure from American History, associated with hte boston tea party I think

Don't like it though!

It's like the classy Madison in Boston circles.

there is a quincy in my dds class - he is adorable. I love the name.

BiancaJackson · 01/10/2009 13:59

Quincy Jones. Very cool. I quite like it.

shoobidoo · 01/10/2009 14:09

I like Quincy, but then I too know a cute 5 year old.

Thissideofchannel · 01/10/2009 14:15

I like Quincy, but prefer Quinn or Quentin.

PuppyMonkey · 01/10/2009 15:07

I love it.

Quincy Jones. You couldn't get any cooler.

Vetoed by DH though.

rachel234 · 01/10/2009 15:16

Quincy is cool, but I'd probably put Quinn on the birth certificate and use Quincy as nickname.

PurlyQueen · 01/10/2009 15:20

Love it!

annasmami · 01/10/2009 15:28

Reminds me of Quincy Jones - I like it!

bess23 · 01/10/2009 16:00

I'm against the grain on this one really don't like sorry.

ramonaquimby · 01/10/2009 16:03

i know of 2 girls called quincy in canada

loobylu3 · 01/10/2009 16:18

Sorry but I don't like it. A quinsy is a peritonsillar abscess and it is pn exactly the same!

PestoSunshineMonster · 01/10/2009 16:21

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

HKT · 01/10/2009 20:12

Um, I thought quincy was an illness too, so it wouldn't be a name I would ever consider.
Sort of like naming a girl Candida - isn't that a yeast infection?

HKT · 01/10/2009 20:13

Should probly apologise in advance for offending anyone called Candida - no offence was meant

JemL · 06/10/2009 20:44

I like it; and DH loves it - he would have called DS1 it if he had veto!!
