My cousin is Kirstine and it gets varied to sound like Kirs tin or Kirs teen , like Christine.

Also Scottish

I think it is a beautiful name. Often shortened to Kirsty, which I think is a shame, as it is so lovely on its own.

Especially lovely said in a soft west-highland or island accent .....

Yes I know what you mean I am from and live in Scotland and Kirsteen does sound different with the Scottish twang. The 'r' is rolled more and it sound pretty, I still really like it.

I know one, and she is a lovely little girl...but I am not keen on the name, sorry...but than my name is Kerstin and I htink it's ugly...lol
