DH loves the name Barney. I hated it initially but am coming round to it. Whats the general opinion?

RnB · 29/09/2009 13:24

Just Barney or Barney for short? I like Barnabus

MitchyInge · 29/09/2009 13:26

surely barnabas not bus?

Bishy Barney Bee is Norfolk for ladybird in case anyone is interested

LadyGlencoraPalliser · 29/09/2009 13:27

If we had had a DS that would have been his name.

Themasterandmargaritas · 29/09/2009 13:27

I have a Barnaby, much nicer in my opinion.

sammysam · 29/09/2009 13:27

I like it I'd use it if we were having a boy

RnB · 29/09/2009 13:40

I think you can spell it both ways?

Jamieandhismagictorch · 29/09/2009 13:42

I'm so sorry to cause offence, but I hate it a lot

(big purple dinosaur)

TheHeadbangingWombat · 29/09/2009 13:43

I hate it.And yes big purple dinosaur.

Carrotfly · 29/09/2009 13:45

Like Mitchy, the first thing that came to mind was the name of a pony i used to ride.

I still like it though.

frogs · 29/09/2009 13:46

Here's why you shouldn't

Jamieandhismagictorch · 29/09/2009 13:48
GibberingGinger · 29/09/2009 14:29

I'm completely forgotten about the big purple dinosaur!
That combined with Barney Rubble, and the fact its more of a name for a dog/pony means its probably binned.
