My neice is Cissie - and she is a Cecilia.

Cecilia looks better. I think it's more common.

I prefer just Celia as a name though, so Cecelia would lend itself better to the nn which is lovely.. iyswim.

Never heard of Cecelia - just Cecilia, Cecile or Celia.

(The saint - patron(ess) of music is Cecilia in English and Cecile in French (I think)). (My French 'given name' at primary school was Cecile as the Saint's day is 22 November and the closest female one to my birthday.)

I think it should be Cecilia... if you are taking it as the female version of Cecil, then Cecilia is more logical
I have a close friend whose name is spelt Cecilie, but pronounced Cecilia (she's Norwegian), I think it's a lovely name
