Nice but of the moment. Joel a bit too feminine, perhaps. Maybe I'm thinking it sounds like Jewel.

TeamEdwardTango · 18/09/2009 20:42

I like Joel!
Imogen is overused here. Very pretty, but a bit "wet" IMO

Kathrina · 18/09/2009 20:44

Never thought of that and i said it a bit too close to Joe which would prob get called a lot. I don't think she has anymore names for either as her and her hubby can't agree. Oh dear lol x

Imogen is not so popular her it is Isabelle which is very popular we had 4 at playgroup the other day!

Imogen is nice, not too popular.

Joel though? Of all the possible boys names out there, Joel is just so dull and boring.

CristinaTheAstonishing · 18/09/2009 20:48

Imogen is lovely. DS really wanted it for DD2 but DH didn't. I'd have gone for it.

Plonker · 18/09/2009 20:48

I love Imogen. Was on my list for dd3. Not very common around these parts (NW).

Not keen on Joel. But do love Joe (Joseph).

pasturesnew · 18/09/2009 20:48

Both nice, not overused I don't think.

Trying out some middle names, I think these are nice:

Imogen Lucy

Imogen Claire

Imogen Rose

Imogen Joy

Joel Michael

Joel Christopher

Joel James

Joel Benjamin

Back to the drawing board me thinks and try and help them pick a few more names to add to the very short list lol. This is her 4th child and Imogen means last daughter which IF she has no more seems quite appropriate. Not sure what Joel means?

Well after much thought my friend and OH have come up with the name Dexter for a boy! and they still want Imogen but have Daisy for a middle name now. NO middle name for a boy yet.

Dexter James

jellybeans · 20/09/2009 11:13

Much prefer Joel to Dexter. Imogen is nice but all the ones I know get Immy so they have to like that too!

lowrib · 20/09/2009 11:30

I like Joel, it's a lovely name.

Seriously, don't get put off by people saying no here - whatever name you put up, SOMEONE will say no!

Kathrina · 20/09/2009 11:51

Dexter James sounds nice. The list is getting a little longer think they starting to panic now only got a few more wks to go. If anyone else got any more suggestions that would be great thanks.

I like both Imogen and Joel. Very nice.

MamaLazarou · 20/09/2009 12:04

Joel's lovely. I know a really drippy Imogen, so it has negative connotations for me.

Kathrina · 20/09/2009 12:48

I quite like all of the names myself. Don't know anyone with these names personally. If she thinks of anymore i will post them on here. But thanks all x

Can't stand Joel, but that is because there was a bad kid at school called Joel. It seems a bit rough. Joe is far nicer.

Imogen is lovely and even lovlier with the middle name Lucy.
