.. stuck for names for DD, must have max two sylables, and obv be pretty. We were wondering about Daphne, what does this name conjour for you?

She didn't do much, would be my objection - Apollo pursued her, she wasn't interested, she turned into a laurel...

That's the trouble with classical names for girls. Mostly the originals are described as a bit feeble, or they are 'baddies' like Clytemnestra or Medea.

& the short forms would be Daff or Daffy.

I wouldn't. Sorry.
