What do you think of Moira as a girl's name? My ds is named Finlay. Any suggestions if dc2 is a boy?

as soon as i saw the post title , I thought Moira? As in Stewart?!!

it's a nice name though - quite pretty and more unusual, but not silly.

Hi i have Indian parents and an Indian first name but Moira is my middle name i am 42 as are any friends who know my names. no one really likes it!( including DH) and heve certainly never been tempted to use it as an alternative .... father was a bit of a Scotophile though i grew up in the Home Counties Mother insists she wanted mariah!! i suppose part of the problem is i don't LOOK like a Moira. am cheered up to think you're considering it though - most positive thing i've ever heard. so has been fun reading all thenice comments on this thread and now think it would be lovely to see a baby called Moira
