Love it or hate it?

Not something I would choose. Prefer jane or julia.

don't like it all

My dd2's middle name is Jessie, after my Gran.

Discovered after we used it that it can be a nn for Janet, which is my other Grandma's name, which made me glad I had chosen it.

I would say middle name if it´s to "honour" a relative!

chubbychipmonk · 06/09/2009 14:52

Jane maybe?

queenofeyes · 06/09/2009 16:38

I think it's quite cool - redolent of the middle ages rather than the middle aged or middle England. It's a bit medieval-witchy - neighbour Janet who was accused of enchanting a young man from the next village. I like it, in case that's not clear!

I know someone very close to me called Janet.

My DD has said she will inflict it on her DD as a middle name. It does date one, I'm 48 and was one of many at school. Reading down the thread has actually endeared me to it a little.

No

I do like Jeanette though, also Jane and Susan

what is her middle name?
