boodleboot · 31/08/2009 18:33

prefer India to be honest. or Indigo....

diddl · 31/08/2009 19:10

Like it.
Perhaps depends on surname, though.

loobylu3 · 31/08/2009 19:28

Reminds me of Ghandi too! I saw it recently on another forum where everyone seemed to like it (was an American forum though).

I know an Indira, she goes by Indie.

Indira Ghandi was one tough lady, and some of her policies/politics were quite "extreme".

To me the name sounds laden by political connotations but perhaps am reading too much into it

MamaLazarou · 31/08/2009 20:10

It's beautiful. Not if you're white, though.

Paolosgirl · 31/08/2009 20:12

I love it - but it's got such strong connotations with Ghandi that I'm not sure if it translates into a white name iykwim?

loobylu3 · 31/08/2009 21:26

No, theoretical child wouldn't be white!

I was very ignorant there - I'm so sorry

Think it's a great name, very strong.

loobylu3 · 31/08/2009 21:59

No offence taken at all P's girl!
