Edith Alice is lovely, I love Edith.

rubyslippers · 30/08/2009 08:47

i like them separately

they don't flow brilliantly

diddl · 30/08/2009 08:51

I like Edie/Edith or Alice, but not together.

belgo · 30/08/2009 08:55

I don't usually care whether or not names flow together but Edie Alice don't sound well at all, they detract from each other. Alice is lovely.

What about Martha Alice or Alice Martha?

southernbelle77 · 30/08/2009 09:24

I think it nice although doesn't flow that well!

DitaVonCheese · 30/08/2009 13:14

I think they're both lovely but Edith flows better than Edie.

Doesn't make me thin Idi Amin though!

janeite · 30/08/2009 13:16

I like them both but think two names beginning with vowels sound a bit awkward together.

jellybeans · 30/08/2009 13:39

too old lady for me.

KAEKAE · 30/08/2009 15:52

I like Alice...Edie is ok but don't think I would use it...I have to say I don't think they flow too well together.

Tinfoil · 30/08/2009 17:06

They're both nice.

OrangeAnge · 02/09/2009 16:12

I love both of those names - they are at the top of our shortlist at the moment! - but I am not sure about them together either. Sorry!

It's funny - I didn't think Edie was very popular. I guess you think you are the only ones coming up with names but there will always be others having the same ideas.

Good luck with choosing a name!

bibbitybobbityhat · 02/09/2009 16:28

Ooooo I know there's something wrong with me but I absolutely hate the name Alice.

I like Edie though, but think it would go better with a second name that starts with a consonant rather than another vowel.

clemette · 02/09/2009 16:37

We had Edie Matilda at the top of our list last time. Turns out he was an Alexander. Love, love, love Edie.

Rachybabes · 02/10/2009 20:59
