Only 3 weeks to go! Tell me what you think of these names and which is the best.

Harry
Luke/Luc (not sure which spelling)
Dominic

My favourites of Theo, Logan, Dillan, and Mason have been rejected by heartless DH who thinks he has a say! But as we have rather traditional names for the other DCs, I suppose he is grudgingly right!!

Dominic, a clear winner.

thedolly · 26/08/2009 22:30

Lots of Harrys around - not so many Lukes which I like

not keen on Dominic - it an older mans name in my mind, you know like Father Dominic or something.

Don't spell Luke as Luc. If you like that spelling why not just go for Luca or Lucas and shorten it.

lilacpink · 26/08/2009 22:33

Luke, definitely the best name!

daisy78 · 27/08/2009 09:39

I love the name Dominic

MamaLazarou · 27/08/2009 18:30

Luke and Dominic are nice. Luc is just poncey. Harry is a wee bit too popular for my liking right now.

MrsVik · 27/08/2009 18:33

I had Dominic on my list for boys - really like it.

random · 27/08/2009 18:35

Luke and Dominic are ok ....Harry is awful sorry hate all the old mans names

puffling · 27/08/2009 18:36

Dominic and Luke are lovely names. Harry nice too, but too popular.
Not keen on the reject names.

southernbelle77 · 27/08/2009 20:33

Out of your list I think Dominic is best. I like Harry but too popular (that is what dd wanted to call our baby to be if it was a boy but it REALLY wouldn't go with our surname!). Luke is ok but not something I would choose!

I too prefer your other list!

slowreadingprogress · 27/08/2009 20:56

Your DH is crazy. Theo is by far the best name you mention.

Jojay · 27/08/2009 20:59

Love Dominic.

StretchFucksTheMailDaily · 28/08/2009 21:38

I think so too slowreading!!

It's down to Dominic and Luke now.

We decided that Harry was just too popular at the minute, which is a shame. Saying that though, I only know 2 Harrys, but no doubt as soon as ds is born, they'll all start popping up!!

I told my family last night the 2 names we were considering, and predictably, they responded with 'jokey' comments

"Oooh, Dick and Dom" etc.. We weren't going to say anything as this always happens, but we hoped they may have grown up a bit (no chance) Why do they try and put us off, makes me soooo They respond straight away with, don't like it..!

My favourite is Dominic - its on our list as well.

I like Harry but it is quite popular (but not enough to be put me off iyswim)

Not so keen on Luke personally - quite like Lucas though

StretchFucksTheMailDaily · 28/08/2009 22:16

Are you pg as well?

These newly-wed/honeymoon babies! Although we are not newly wed anymore Nearly a year for us now, you too?

Do like Lucas, but my friend has a Lucas. Dominic is def top of the list at the moment.

Yes DS due in December (possibly around first anniversary as well )

I know what you mean about Dominic - great from toddler onwards but do struggle with it as a newborn. Still love it though .......

hatwoman · 28/08/2009 22:23

Dominic definitely.

StretchFucksTheMailDaily · 28/08/2009 22:24

Oooh!! Congratulations!!!

I look at DS1 and imagine a cute little boy called Dominic running around after him!

Tinfoil · 28/08/2009 23:34

Luke.

mathanxiety · 29/08/2009 03:54

I like Dominic too. What exactly does your DH have against Theo? It's a really old name, short for Theodore, which I think is Greek for love of god or some such virtue or attribute.

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 30/08/2009 19:52

Luke/ Luca/ Lucas and Theo. Really dislike Harry.

MrsBarbaraKingstanding · 30/08/2009 19:54

Dominic
