I don't know of any little Philippas, I'd forgotten how nice a name it was have you a middle name in mind?

diffrentid · 25/08/2009 20:15

Although I hate the current fashion to have May/Rose/Grace as middle names, I think all of these really suit Philippa

Fine as long as second name is not Glass or Funnel....

allaboutme · 25/08/2009 20:22

I love it
Dont know any one called it though
If I were to have another baby (which I'm not) I would choose this name

rubyslippers · 25/08/2009 20:30

Philippa is lovely but she can't marry anyone called Bucket. And yes, I know a woman who did.

I'm a Phillippa and have come accross a few little ones recently but all using the shortened form of Pippa,I hate Philly or Phil and will not answer to them but have been Pippa and Pip and Pippin at various stages.Have top saY Have gone back to Pip with advent of texting!

It is difficult to learn to spell at school but have to say I like it now and I feel it suits all ages ...strangely enough have never thought of the bucket thing but did spend 26 years with the surname Green ...not good with the initial P

Oh I also have the second name you are thinking of ,I also like and have come accross Claire and Anne as second names or Kate, single syllables work best with it I think

I really wanted to call DD Philippa, and she would have been Pippa, but DH hated it
