Nice or does do you instantly think of bad tempered supermodels?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

very nice.

LittleMissBliss · 18/08/2009 20:19

I like it.

EvasMama · 18/08/2009 20:21

or Noemi?

PolarBear74 · 18/08/2009 20:33

Its a lovely name which my friend has called her daughter although my 2 year old can't pronounce it and calls her baby 'Omi!

mammyto1 · 18/08/2009 20:44

I love it, it's my DD middle name

MrsBadger · 18/08/2009 20:55

like it

there are arguments re NAY-omi / NARE-mi / nay-OH-mi though

mamalovesmojitos · 18/08/2009 21:05

love it.

Chunkamatic · 18/08/2009 21:46

I love it. It is my middle name... but a word of warning - spelt backwards it is IMOAN and I have actually won awards for the amount of moaning I can acheive on any given subject!!!

pasturesnew · 18/08/2009 21:47

My neice's dd is Naomi and is always called Gnome

MaggieBeauLeo · 18/08/2009 22:38

I like it. I prefer Noemi if that's not too french when you're not french ...

choosyfloosy · 18/08/2009 22:39

Absolutely love it and relatively unusual at the mo i think without being in any way 'out there'.

PrettyCandles · 18/08/2009 22:41

I like. Was on my shortlist.

I didn't even think of bad tempered models until I read the OP!

weegiemum · 18/08/2009 22:42

I like it!

I also like the Spanish version - Nohemi - but probably only if you are of Spanish/Latin origin.

forehead · 19/08/2009 21:06

I love the name, if i had another daughter i would have called her Naomi. I like it because it is quite unusual

Remotew · 19/08/2009 21:12

I love it, I know a lovely Naomi, she's 15, she likes it too. She get annoyed when people mispronounce it or shorten it to neigh and point out what it spells backwards.

simplesusan · 20/08/2009 11:10

I like it but it does always make me think of the spoilt brat supermodel!

lotspot · 20/08/2009 22:35

I know a 9 year old Naomi - lovely name and suits her perfectly!! not common but not made up!!

Also SIL's name but it has always been pronounced nay-me so sometimes accidently call the 9 year old that instead of nay-o-me but she doesn't mind too much - i hope anyway!!

RnB · 20/08/2009 22:37

where did you go to college Rusputin. That's my nickname!
