Not a name I've come across on mn. What do you think?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
BarbieLovesKen · 14/08/2009 17:03

I like it.

mathanxiety · 14/08/2009 17:53

It makes me think of something wispy. Nice, but wispy.

HerHonesty · 14/08/2009 17:55

i really like it but i think it might become quite common (as in usage) (due mainly to the lovely fern cotton)

annasmami · 14/08/2009 18:18

What is fern cotton?

nicknameidlike · 14/08/2009 18:21

Fern Cotton is a woman off of tv not sure what she does the way you said what is fren cotton? made me think of something lovely and fresh and Green so now i like the name very much

suwoo · 14/08/2009 18:31

at 'what is Fern Cotton?'

She spells her name Fearne by the way, which IMO is nicer.

JeMeSouviens · 14/08/2009 18:43

I know 2 Fern's. One early 50s, she was always a happy, smiley person, hard working and kind.

The other is a very spoilt daschund.

I love the name.

ohnelly · 14/08/2009 18:49

I like this but agree with above better as Fearne

annasmami · 14/08/2009 19:14

Oh, I though it was a new type of cotton... .

HerHonesty · 14/08/2009 19:27

lol at annasmami...

MaggieBelleVirgo · 14/08/2009 19:29

I like it. I don't love it enough to use it as a first name myself, but if you like simple one syllable names like Beth, Joy,, then Fern could fit right in. Not at all fussy, but not unattractive or weird.

screamingabdab · 14/08/2009 21:17

I like it

wrinklytum · 14/08/2009 21:19

I love it and would have used it if it hadn't rhymed with dps surname
