How many middle names?

DH thinks two whereas i think one is plenty

Our surname starts with D so may need to add a second to avoid an acronym like SAD or OLD but i think two is a bit of a mouthful.

(he has two & i have one... so maybe this is what divides us!) Any thoughts?

I have one, gave my DD two...

Up to 2 is fine, 3 or more seems a little unusual but it really doesn't matter, they're not used very much! If you have several names you would like to use, why not?

I have three middle names but I gave the dcs two.

mine have 2 - but only because one is my surname (to give them an option to use it later if they want to).

DH and I both have 1 - have never really used it apart from for initials.
