or maybe Mattias, but spelling is not so important at this stage. Thoughts on the name?

I love it.

MadameCastafiore · 01/08/2009 09:16

I'd always think of that shite wine and probably call him Rose by mistake!

TwoHot · 01/08/2009 17:11

I like Matthew too.

RubyBlueberry · 01/08/2009 17:12

It sounds german? Matt is nice?

sazzerbear · 01/08/2009 17:12

love it!

Ninni · 01/08/2009 22:25

Hm, yeah, not great to be associated with a shit wine. But hopefully that's the minority... We are considering Cristal for a girl ;)

Lovely.

RetroMum1 · 02/08/2009 10:54

I wanted to use this I think it's beautiful, it's very popular in Germany and Spain. Couldn't use it though as DH is Matthews!

MamaLazarou · 02/08/2009 12:06

I do not like it.

AcademicMum · 02/08/2009 15:37

Very nice. Very scandinavian.

Paolosgirl · 02/08/2009 15:40

Wine if it's a boy and champagne if it's a girl

Not keen on either, sorry

IsItMeOr · 02/08/2009 15:47

Don't like either, sorry.

willitbe · 02/08/2009 15:55

We had planned Matthias for our ds1, but the minute he was born we changed our minds! But still love the name.

Ninni · 02/08/2009 21:53

Just to clarify, Cristal for a girl is a joke!

Matthew is a nicer name, I think.

MmeLindt · 02/08/2009 21:58

Matthias was popular in Germany for some time, I know quite a few guys called Matthias, most of them between 35 and 45yo. It is not quite so popular there at the moment.

Would most Brits know how to pronounce it?

What about Magnus?
