We like Rose Edith but not sure if its just too old fashioned and can't think of an alternative middle name.... Any of you have inspired ideas? XX

I guess it depends on the surname too. How many syllables and what letter it begins with!

Rose Amelie /Amelia

I like Edith. I dont think its bad to have an old fashioned middle name.

My Nana's name was Rose Ellen. I think that's lovely. However I also like Rose Edith, very Victorian.

my DD2 is called Ellen, after her, (we already had a Rose in the family) but with a middle name of Maude.

Tricky as Rose is so often a middle name. I like Rose Elizabeth and Rose Amelia, I think you need multiple syllables.

ForExample · 26/07/2009 21:34

no Edith is lovely, trust your instincts!

NotanOtter · 26/07/2009 21:35

Rose Elise

Aline/Alina was the first thing that came to my mind xx

piscesmoon · 26/07/2009 22:52

Rose Amelia is pretty.

piscesmoon · 26/07/2009 22:53

I think what ever you choose needs 3 syllables.

You could have Rose Bethany-it sounds nice.

Ladyem · 27/07/2009 09:41

Rose Edith is lovely! Not old fashioned at all, very classic and beautiful.

Only other suggestion I can think of is Rose Elizabeth.

I love the name olivia and it seams to go with most names as a middle name.

Rose Olivia? Rose amelia is my fave from this list ;) xx

JamieJay · 01/08/2009 18:59

I quite like Rose Abigail or Charlotte.

owlandpussycat · 01/08/2009 18:59

Rose Alayna
Rose Elise

A pretty choice, I've not met any any Roses!

I have heard older kids laughing at other people's old fashioned middle names. (Usually at secondary). I hated my old fashioned middle name and was embarrassed and upset about it so gave my kids usual/popular names. Sorry but I think Edith is abit old lady/fashioned, but I like Rose how about...

Rose...
