I am pregnant with my second child,my first being a girl named Taylor...i am stuck as to what names "go" with it!! I am thinking Reece for a boy, or Brooke, Georgia or Kali for a girl, but i really have no idea!! Although i do feel settled on Reece... help!

Logan

Logan was actually our choice of boy name when i was preg with Taylor! It seems to have grown in popularity locally though, so not too keen now! I live in a sleepy village, and i really want my child to have its "own" name, not a duplicate of so-and-so down the road! I also feel (maybe wrongly) that because i went for a more "out there" name first time, that it wouldn't feel right going for a more common name this time, does that make sense? I may be thinking too much about it, but i dont want one child feeling they are odd, or have a really common name...i dunno!!!

I know what you mean, but I don't think Taylor is so 'out-there' that it wouldn't 'go' with a more common name.

Riley?

taylorsmummy2004 · 21/07/2009 10:18

Deemented Ah Riley...yes i forgot about that one, i like Reiley for a girl.

MamaLazarou Yes i agree as such, but cosidering the whole village is peppered with Katies, Emmas, Jacks and Sams, Taylor is considered odd!! The amount of people who feel they have to comment on it is unreal!! Nobody bats an eye at little Lewis or Mairi...grrr!!

How about Miller? my friend has called his son this and i think it is really lovely...

LoveBuckets · 21/07/2009 20:59

Ooh I like Miller!
Gibson, Hunter, Fisher, Holden, McKenzie (Girl or boy)
Or how about something nature-ish to totally contrast with Taylor? Think birds or plants or gems maybe

MrsMcCluskey · 21/07/2009 21:03

Tinker

barnsleybelle · 21/07/2009 21:16

My friend has a Taylor and a Harley. They are both boys though.

swedesinsunglasses · 21/07/2009 22:12

Tinker, Soldier, Sailor, or Spy?

changenameruk · 21/07/2009 22:25

ellis

maggievirgo · 21/07/2009 22:31

Delaney, Bailey or Bellamy for a girl.

fraser, Spencer or Harvey for a boy. nms, but I don't think you can have a George and a Taylor. Or a Taylor and a Georgia. That would make Taylor seem like a boy.

LoveBuckets · 22/07/2009 14:47

Bellamy??? Like David Bellamy?

maggievirgo · 22/07/2009 16:49

Well, it wouldn't be to my taste to be honest lovebuckets, but being a sur name, I thought it might sound like Taylor's sister, whilst still being quite an attractive sound. Could be Bel, could be Amy..

Delaney is a popular name in the US.

taylorsmummy2004 · 22/07/2009 21:35

Thanks for all your suggestons...well most of them!! I like Ellis, although I'm sure its a boys name, i quite like it for a girl. Its so much harder to pick child number 2s name, don't you think?

Woodrow

taylorsmummy2004 · 22/07/2009 21:39

Baconsarnie · 22/07/2009 21:41

How about Murphy for a girl? I love that name! Riley is good too, as are Bailey and Miller.

jkklpu · 22/07/2009 21:43

Tinker, Soldier or Spy?

barnsleybelle · 22/07/2009 21:55

taylor... My dh wanted to call our dd Marnie. It's a character from an Alfred Hitchcock movie. I loved it but preferred something else.
Marnie and Taylor go well together.

The Harley and Taylor I know sound great together i think.

What about freya or Isla? Kind of have the same sounding ends to the name as Taylor IYSWIM.

mummy2002 · 22/07/2009 22:12

macy

taylorsmummy2004 · 22/07/2009 23:17

Baby's surname starts with F, otherwise i love Freya! Don't want a double F!! ...well, i wouldn't mind but YSWIM! Isla is close friends girls name,so can't use that either! Not especiallywhen i live in a village with only 60 kids!!

My nieces are Taylor & Lily

I have a ( boy) Ellis

I don't really get the having to "go" with siblings names TBH

so long as one is not totally outrageous / weird and the other boring / plain,I don't think it really matters

LoveBuckets · 23/07/2009 10:23

I think a double F would be wuite cute actually
