Cleopatra, Cleo for short.

I have never heard any girl named this, but I love it: both the full version and the shortened. It does naturally sound very dramatic and IF I have a girl she may be a little shy thing.
Any thoughts?

Cleo on its own if you must. Not Cleopatra!

Gateau · 13/07/2009 11:33

I thought it might get that reaction. It's a very out there name!

I know a Cleo, which I think is a lovely name, but not Cleopatra!

MaggieBeeBeau · 13/07/2009 16:01

Cleo I like. Or Clio.

I knew of sisters Clio and Xara. And they would be in their late 40s now. Weird that both names became cars.

RenagadeMum · 13/07/2009 16:02

Love Cleo.

V nearly called by dd this, short for Cleodie.

Don't like Cleopatra (comin' atcha)

HollyBunda · 13/07/2009 17:59

We would have called DS Cleo - he is Theodore, or Theo.

But not Cleopatra, just Cleo is lovely.

MadameCastafiore · 13/07/2009 18:01

Comin at ya!

(Sorry couldn't help it! Does it show my age?)

MrsMattie · 13/07/2009 21:01

Cleo was on our list of favourites for DD. Cleopatra is gorgeous but I wouldn't have the guts!

LittleMissBliss · 13/07/2009 21:11

boogiewoogie · 13/07/2009 21:36

I know a Cleopatra known as Cleo, she is a teenager now.

bethdivine · 13/07/2009 22:07

oh I loved the name Cleopatra, always thought when growing up if I ever had a daughter I'd call her Cleopatra Meg. DH vetoed it straight away needless to say! - I say go for it if you like it and your DP is ok with it!!!

dizzydixies · 13/07/2009 23:07
