This is for a friend

She would like to know what you would expect a younger brother or sister to Noah to be called - because many names just dont seem to 'ring' together

Any thought?????

Luke or Alice

I know the sweetest baby Noah and his big sister is called Onna (as opposed to Oona!)

Irish I'm sure.

My suggestions of what would sound great with Noah -

Samuel for a boy
I also like Grace for a girl
Why am I also thinking of Keeley or Kayleigh

nessus · 07/07/2009 23:35

Inspired by the film that has just started...how about August for a girl (Aggy for short)

*if born in August of course!

Firawla · 08/07/2009 11:29

I know a Noah, recently born baby brother is Oliver

These all go nicely too:

Samuel

FranSanDisco, obviously not old enough to remember Noah and Nelly on TV?

sockmonkey · 08/07/2009 16:14

I have a Noah and a Samuel... glad a few of you have put that as an option

I'd stick with biblical names really.

suwoo · 08/07/2009 16:23

I have a Noah and was very keen to avoid biblical names for his brother. His big sister is Madeleine, his soon to arrive baby brother will be Felix.

Madeleine
Noah
Felix

Not neccessarily obvious choices.

boodleboot · 08/07/2009 16:25

Noah and Shiloh

lovely

Lulubee · 08/07/2009 16:33

Noah and Oliver

or

Noah and Alexander

or

Noah and Shenandoah?

Jaquelinehyde · 08/07/2009 16:34

I'm not going to be much help, but I'm not really sure that it matters what names go together when the names belong to different people.

Where do you stop, cousins, aunties and uncles, your names.

If you have a large family it's just asking for trouble.

What about if the new born's middle name doesn't match the eldest's first name. Now there is a problem

belgo · 08/07/2009 16:35

Esther
Hannah
Peter
David
Thomas

belgo · 08/07/2009 16:36

I agree with the last poster, you don't really need names that go together for brothers and sisters.

piscesmoon · 08/07/2009 16:43

I would avoid any name in the Old Testament and anything beginning with N.

Milliways · 08/07/2009 16:46

I know of:

Noah and Jake
Noah and Ella + Alice
Noah and Adam

Justwantout · 09/07/2009 00:24

I have a Noah, a Luke and an Abigail. Next one will be Theo.

gigglewitch · 09/07/2009 00:26
