How would you spell Zach / Zac / Zak?

This is a possibility for DS2's name (due any day now) but I'm not sure how to spell it? He would be Zachary on his birth certificate (I think anyway) but called Zach, Zac, or Zak in everyday life. What spelling o most people use? Does 'Zach' lead to lots of mispronounciation?

Thanks!

I prefer just Zac but like them all. Zachary is OK too if you will use it but I prefer short names for boys. As far as I know the most popular is Zak but all the spellings seem Ok to me. With a C (Zac) seems abit 'softer'.

'Zach' if its short for Zachary.

No way Zak.

I like Zac best I think

Zach if from Zachary, Zac if from Isaac. Never Zak.

Monkeyandbooba · 05/07/2009 10:01

We have a Zachary who is Zach.

Kaylo · 05/07/2009 11:02

I like the spelling Zach in it's own right rather than shortened from Zachary.

Great name choice! Was on my list too for my DS (now 3yrs) but he ended up being Rio

I knew a Zack - just to put the cat among the pigeons....

Is logical to use Zach though if shortening from Zachary.

Kaybeeand2boys · 05/07/2009 11:13

DS1 is Zak, but it's not short for anything. People always spell it wrong, Zac or Zach!

Frasersmum123 · 05/07/2009 17:00

Zach is nicer IMO, its one of my 'could have been' names, but DH vetoed it

Bleatblurt · 05/07/2009 17:02

Zach.

Don't like Zak at all.

MamaLazarou · 06/07/2009 10:51

Another vote for Zach.

RachieB · 23/07/2009 00:51

Definitely Zac

Zach is ok ish, but Zak just looks wrong

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 23/07/2009 02:12

It was Zack in my day.

Zac for sure. Zach and you risk some trying to pronounce the "ch" at the end!
