ThePhantomPlopper · 30/06/2009 19:32

Bad in what way?

OP posts:
choufleur · 30/06/2009 19:36

Bad in a ronnie barker in prison kinda way maybe

goomum · 30/06/2009 19:37

It has the word letch in it.

eandh · 30/06/2009 19:38

was one of dh's favourite when I was expecting dc1 (and I was swaying towards it!) dc1 turned out to be dd1 and she has a big standard common name now

twosofar · 30/06/2009 19:39

Depends if you like surnames as first names. Same vein as Harrison, Jackson, Cooper etc to me. Sounds American.

eandh · 30/06/2009 19:40

bog standard even!!

pippylongstockings · 30/06/2009 19:44

I like surnames as first names - but you do have to think of nick-names that children will get.

Having said that my son's name is a terrible american surname/nickname combo so go for it!

bellissima · 30/06/2009 21:13

I agree with choufleur. to me Fletcher is always preceded by Norman Stanley.

JackieNo · 30/06/2009 21:17

Norman stanley here too, I'm afraid.

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 30/06/2009 21:20

The only Fletcher that I know is a dog

hocuspontas · 30/06/2009 21:23

Bad. Next?

flowerybeanbag · 30/06/2009 21:26

Would be good if not for Norman Stanley.

LilRedWG · 30/06/2009 21:26

Sorry, but the only Fletcher I have know (and that was his surname) was known as Feltcher.

Not a typo or nickname I would want associated with my child.

Heated · 30/06/2009 21:27

Bad. Unfortuntely I know a Fletch(er). He is a moron. Referred to either as Wretch or Letch.

MamaLazarou · 01/07/2009 09:00

Just makes me automatically think: 'felcher'.

Mammina · 01/07/2009 09:01

well I like it!

BunnyLebowski · 01/07/2009 09:05

So very very very bad.

Madmentalbint · 01/07/2009 09:10

Not good, sorry.

Bucharest · 01/07/2009 09:18

Bad. In a "it's a surname durrrr" kind of way.

fruitstick · 01/07/2009 09:24

I prefer Norman Stanley!

Tillyscoutsmum · 01/07/2009 09:32

Makes me think Felcher here as well Sorry

MamaLazarou · 01/07/2009 11:56
