maybe Roman for a boy (like Melanie Sykes!)

dizzydixies · 25/06/2009 22:34

are we talking girl or boy here?

I love Romilly and Ramona for a girl which could have nn Roma?

LetThemEatCake · 25/06/2009 22:37

I worked with a Roma. Dreadful woman. Good name for a tomato.

SugarSkyHigh · 25/06/2009 22:44

obviously a girl's name, and I absolutely love it. In fact it was on my list. DH vetoed it on the grounds that his estranged mother lived in Rome. Love it, love it, go for it!!

Hmm. Well it's probably very un-PC now but there was a point (at least according to some children's books I remember reading) when Gypsy was regarded as a viable girls' name.

Mind you, don't do it if your last name is SImpson.
