It made me think of Frogmella. Sorry.

DisturbinglySexuallyInactive · 24/06/2009 21:07

sounds a bit too much like an order at a bar = astrella and some pork scratchings please

Miggins · 24/06/2009 21:07

Awful......sorry

Tidey · 24/06/2009 21:10

Estrella, Spanish for star, might sound nicer but is pronounced Est-raya. There was a little girl called Astra at DS's playgroup. Or Stella or Estelle?

ButtercupWafflehead · 24/06/2009 21:19

It sound like two names squashed into one.

Sorry.

janeite · 24/06/2009 21:21

Sorry but I think it's dreadful.

Lissya · 24/06/2009 21:22

Dont like it, sorry.

It sounds totally invented and try-hard.

Astrid or Stella are fine, lovely actually, but Astrella is bizarre combination of the two and does bring to mind Stella (beer) Frogmella (say no more) and conjured-up names spelt funny (say no more).

DisturbinglySexuallyInactive · 24/06/2009 21:24

estrella is a beautiful name though

GrimmaTheNome · 24/06/2009 21:30

Or, for that matter, Estelle or Estalla

GrimmaTheNome · 24/06/2009 21:31

I meant Estella. That was a typo not a deliberate attempt at uniqueness!

audley · 24/06/2009 22:13

How about Astraea, the Greek virgin goddess of justice?

toadstool · 24/06/2009 22:36

Astral projection springs to mind - sorry. I like Estelle, Estrella and Astraea, and how about Astrid (Dutch), or Asta (Danish)?

kittywise · 24/06/2009 22:38

no

hambler · 24/06/2009 22:48

gynaecological sounding

Deemented · 25/06/2009 06:21

Sounds like a hand cream, sorry.

MamaLazarou · 25/06/2009 09:05

It sounds made up and silly.

CurryMaid · 25/06/2009 09:08

Someone I worked with's wife was called this.

I quite like it.

Think it's also the name of Donovan's daughter.

Milliemuffin · 25/06/2009 21:38

Not that I like the name but I just saw it listed on a baby names page...

www.askamum.co.uk/Baby/Search-Results/Baby-names/What-not-to-name-your-baby/

Milliemuffin · 25/06/2009 21:41

Forgot to mention it's under the 'what not to name your baby' section...

Ronaldinhio · 25/06/2009 21:42

second name Fenella..?

Bonneville · 25/06/2009 21:53

Its not a name. Its silly and sounds stupid. Sorry.

MrsMattie · 25/06/2009 23:35

Estrella is lovely (although the name of a Spanish lager!). Astrella is not very nice and sounds made up.
