Frank is a fantastic name.

jellybeans · 16/06/2009 20:01

Beau not keen, worry may get 'b.o.'
Louis ok
Otis ok
Frank not keen abit old man
Cody like it
Thomas ok

nickytwotimes · 16/06/2009 20:02

Louis
Frank
Thomas
are all lovely.
Beau, COdy and Otis not my cup of tea.

daisyj · 16/06/2009 20:04

Ooh, I love Beau. When I was pg we totally thought it was a boy and called 'him' Bo (short for Bojangles - don't ask!) all the way through. Then we got to like it so much we thought we might name him Beau. Then he turned out to be she .

I like Thomas, but it's in the top three names, I think, so there are lots of them around - but if that doesn't bother you then don't let it put you off...

Cody's cute - quite American, but there's nowt wrong with that. Possibly better for a baby/child than a grown man though. Same with Otis, which I do also like.

Louis and Frank not so keen.

Tortington · 16/06/2009 20:06

cody is a no - its just a bit pants

frank - talk to frank - its ok

thomas - fine if a little boring

beau - what are you a movie star - only they can get away with bollocks names like this.

louis - nice

otis - nice ( but also an elevator or escalator)

Sidge · 16/06/2009 20:07

I like Louis.

Not at all keen on Frank, Otis and Cody (I have seen Cody be used as a girls and boys name so might be misunderstood) and Thomas is lovely but very popular lately. Beau is OK but if you have a one syllable B surname it might sound too abrupt IYKWIM.

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 16/06/2009 20:11

Beau - Not with a B after
Louis - Not my cuppa tea
Otis - I think it would be great if he is black and handsome but white and pastey may not work (sorry!)
Frank - Love it
Cody - American
Thomas - Traditional will probably be shortened to Tom at some point would you be happy with that?

ThePhantomPlopper · 16/06/2009 20:23

Beau - Is my cats name.
Louis - Nice
Otis - Hmm nice(ish)
Frank - Not keen.
Cody - Not keen.
Thomas - Fine, slightly dull but nice all the same.

macherie · 16/06/2009 20:28

I love Louis

MadBadandDangerousToKnow · 16/06/2009 20:29

You asked for a critique.

Beau Louis Otis - Do you mean these to be together, so that his initials are BLOB?! Anyway, the only one of these I like is Otis. Beau is off the scale of awful. Louis around here is as ubiquitous as Thomas (see below).
Frank - Yes, yes, yes but name him Francis so that he has all the options.
Cody - Never.
Thomas - Fine but so dull.

But disregard the witterings of a mad woman on t'internet.

jkklpu · 16/06/2009 20:30

Frank
Thomas is OK but always makes me think of tank engines and assorted friends
others not good

MadBadandDangerousToKnow · 16/06/2009 20:42

Didn't spot that Beau, Louis and Otis aren't meant to be together.

ThePhantomPlopper · 16/06/2009 20:50

LOL at blob.

MadBadandDangerousToKnow · 16/06/2009 20:52

The rest of the names - nah.

Cicatrice · 19/06/2009 22:36

Louis is good also.

Thunderduck · 19/06/2009 23:51
