Which do you prefer for a boy and why?

Landon sound's like a spelling mistake or a cockney saying 'London'. Sorry. Jacob's nice though.

thumbwitch · 08/06/2009 00:02

Jacob's ok but increasingly popular - I know of several.
Landon is pretty awful tbh. I do know a 7yo Brandon though...

MrsMerryHenry · 08/06/2009 00:04

Are you joking about Landon?

Jacob is lovely.

Thumbwiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitch! Long time!

knickers0nmahead · 08/06/2009 00:04

none. Landon is horrible and jacob, although nice, is getting popular.

thumbwitch · 08/06/2009 00:08

Yay! Mrs MH - have you seen the thread about the chocolate buttons? A whole bag in one sitting, and the giant ones at that - not me, I hasten to

Wilkiepedia · 08/06/2009 00:08

Jacob

CandleQueen · 08/06/2009 00:09

Jacob!!

(But I may be biased!)
My DS1 is the only Jacob we know around here.

MrsMerryHenry · 08/06/2009 00:12

missed that one but have been online window-shopping for chocolate! Purse and waistline still intact.

lagaanisace · 08/06/2009 00:15

Landon! I like it. But if you knew my 3 DC's names, you'd know I have no freedom of speech.

But seriously, Landon's great.

thumbwitch · 08/06/2009 00:20

ooh, that's a good way to do it - I have just finished a bar of G&B milk and almond again - it's getting beyond a joke!

MrsMerryHenry · 08/06/2009 00:29

Have you tried the dark choc n orange fairtrade bars from co-op?

HowdyPardner · 08/06/2009 00:38

Jacob

shubiedoo · 08/06/2009 02:20

No opinion really, but just had to share that my 6-year-old niece has THREE Landons in her class at school! Too funny!
Not to mention Caden, Jaden, Hayden and Braiden. You couldn't make it up!

BellaBear · 08/06/2009 07:53

Landon reminds me of Thursday Next's husband in the Jasper Fforde novels - Landon Parke-Laine

Deemented · 08/06/2009 08:09

Landon reminds me of a Stephen King character, and Jacob is becoming very popular indeed.

AuntyAnna · 08/06/2009 09:25

Jacob - very popular indeed, but lovely.
Is Landon not the main character fron the Da Vinci code books? may make it a bit 'of the moment' now the other book has been made into a film. either way i am noy a fan of Landon!

tummytickler · 08/06/2009 10:55

Oh the Da Vinci Code could explain why there are 3 6 year oldsa called Landon in shubiedoos niece's class!

mopsyflopsy · 08/06/2009 10:58

Not that keen on either, really.

Jacob quite popular and don't like Jake...

Landon is just not my style...

amazonianwoman · 08/06/2009 11:01

Not keen on Landon, but love Jacob/Jake (DS's name ) Only know one other Jacob so not that popular here, but wouldn't care if it was (was my grandad's name)

BlueChampagne · 08/06/2009 12:56

Jasper Fforde fan?

MrsMattie · 08/06/2009 15:19

Jacob

MrsMerryHenry · 08/06/2009 16:38

Of course, Jasper Fforde!

I was thinking the OP was a Da Vinci Code fan but that's Langdon, isn't it?

violethill · 08/06/2009 19:58

One is a name, one isn't

Hulababy · 08/06/2009 20:03

Jacob by far.

I don't like Landan, sorry.
