Stephen is the irish catholic in me's first choice but I believe Steven is the more popular, I like both.

Claire236 · 06/06/2009 20:22

I prefer the 'ph' spelling. dh is a Stephen.

DiamondHead · 06/06/2009 20:24

I don't think it matters. They're both established spellings. Also Steve is always spely Steve.

heronsfly · 06/06/2009 20:24

sorry ,is a ph

Thunderduck · 06/06/2009 20:25

I don't like the name but I think Stephen looks much nicer.

Chunkamatic · 06/06/2009 20:30

Stephen seems somehow a bit classier than Steven to me... like the Sean/Shaun thing.

jellybeans · 06/06/2009 21:44

Stephen is nicer.

SlartyBartFast · 06/06/2009 21:46

another one who prefers stephen

differentID · 06/06/2009 21:47

Stephen has a much nicer "look" to it. Stephen Fry, for example, or Stephen Hawking, Stephen King

steviesgirl · 08/06/2009 02:10

Stephen is the original spelling I believe, and my dh's name! I love it, and dh has always liked his name.

nooka · 08/06/2009 02:16
