fab name, but what can you shorten it to? its a bit of a mouthful.

Looks like a made-up spelling to me (but it might not be, so don't take offence...)

What about Maddalena or even Magdalena?

I don't think it's spelled like that tbh. The one I knew was Magdelena.

Agree with other posters re: spelling (Magdalena)...nice name though, and plenty of shortening potential...

Totally has spelled it right - 1st is Italian, 2nd is Slavic version of Madeleine. Magda is the standard short form - Maggie still has horribly negative connotations for me, I'm afraid. I love the name Lena on its own, so that could be another option.

Magdalena is the Spanish spelling if that's any help.
