Would you use the name Leo if your surname started with an O'?
DH thinks its fine and really wants the name, I think it sounds weird....

I think it depends on the surname.
For exampple i think Leo O'neil would sound odd. But other O surnames may be ok.

It doesn't really roll off the tongue. I think a first name ending with a constanant will work better. how about Lewis or louis?

NationalFlight · 27/05/2009 16:33

If it were Oliver for instance it would sound fine.

Owen, not so much.

Hhm, not sure I would choose Leo if surname starts with O... I'd probably choose a first name ending in a consonant. But as others have said, some O names go better than others.
