A bit ahead of myself as only just found out third kiddie expected Jan 2010 but given how hard it was picking a name with first two have already given it a lot of thought!

DH a teacher and so dismisses names of basis of knowing kids and is also really good at coming up with evil nicknames that kids will work out!

Help!!

ScummyMummy · 24/05/2009 21:49

I like Elizabeth and Emma but don't like either of the boys names.

Ronaldinhio · 24/05/2009 21:51

These are all great names

not so much Emma though simply because a girl at my school gave 12 blow jobs at a party and she was named ...Emma

piscesmoon · 24/05/2009 22:08

Edward and Elizabeth. I like Emma too but NOT Alfred.

BigBellasBeerBelly · 24/05/2009 22:15

Edward and emma.

elizabeth fine.

Lot of alfies about at the mo.

notperfectmum · 24/05/2009 22:18

Elizabeth will never be Elizabeth - Liz, Lizzie, Beth etc even if you're introduced as Elizabeth. Drives me mad!!!

pointydog · 24/05/2009 22:23

I love the nicknames for Elizabthe and Edward (don't actually like Edward too much)

Tortington · 24/05/2009 22:38

alfred

elizabeth

Karam · 25/05/2009 10:08

Edward and Elizabeth (although I do prefer Edwin to Edward).

Luxmum · 25/05/2009 10:09

EVERYONE is called Emma. It's like the Sophie of a few years ago. I like Edward, both it's meaning, and also it's my Grandads name. Elizabth is better than Emma by far, though it's not my top 10 anyway.

pranma · 25/05/2009 10:54

Edward and Elizabeth

jellybeans · 25/05/2009 11:25

I like Emma but prefer Freddie or Ted for boys rather than Edward and Alfred.

peppapig3 · 25/05/2009 12:16

I prefer Emma and Edward (prefer nn Ned or Teddy to Eddie though)

Cies · 25/05/2009 12:18

Elizabeth and Edward. Lovely names.

sockmonster · 25/05/2009 15:17

I think loads of people are called Emma, it's really really boring. Elizabeth and Edward get my vote.

MsMaggieBeauregarde · 25/05/2009 15:26

Edward and Elizabeth

Emma is very pretty, but you can extract many pretty nns from Elizabeth. Eli, Beth, Libby.

I prefer Jemma short for Jemima or Gemma to Emma. Emma is a bit .... lacking imo. Pretty though.

MsMaggieBeauregarde · 25/05/2009 15:27

ps My cousin Elizabeth has never been anything other than Elizabeth, and I went to school with an Elizabeth who's also just Elizabeth. My friend's younger sister is Libby. So, 66.66% of the Elizabeths Iknow are Elizabeth!!!!

simplesusan · 26/05/2009 19:28

Love them all except Alfred.

LouMacca · 27/05/2009 13:34

Edward (Ted)

Emma & Elizabeth are both lovely. I would probably go for Ellizabeth and shorten to Betsy.
