Dawn's baby in EE is Summer but she must be 2 now. I now 3 little Summers (all under 2)

But I do love the name providing baby actually is born in summer.

nickytwotimes · 20/05/2009 14:11

There's a girl in my small village called Summer. She's about 10.
I don't particularly like it, but it seems to be a perfectly acceptable name now.

Picante · 20/05/2009 14:12

I think it's top ten now!

bluebump · 20/05/2009 14:13

Someone on Eastenders has a DD called Summer, and yes someone on Hollyoaks was called Summer too. I like it though, and have only heard of my friends DD called Summer so don't think it is too popular yet down here.

Tell a lie it's number 18.

dizzydixies · 20/05/2009 14:36

I like it and the reason its popular is because its a pretty name.

DD1 has apparently got an overused/popular/common name but we don't know another one at all and I've never regretted using it one bit

Thats the name I have decided on for this baby! It's gorgeous and I don't know anyone called it either, although someone said th eother day they know a little girl wth the same name!

LessThenIdeal · 21/05/2009 08:01

Going by this then, if i were to have a baby girl in January, would it be reasonable of me to call her Winter?

Summer is a beautiful name! I love it

boodleboot · 21/05/2009 12:42

lessthanideal - WINTER is a gorgeous name and one i would happily use.i love the NN Winnie but hate all the long versions (winifred etc)

Autumn is gorgeous too.

LessThenIdeal · 21/05/2009 14:15

I think Winter would be more suited to a boy then a girl.

mejon · 21/05/2009 14:21

DD's middle name is 'Haf' which is Welsh for summer. She was born in early August.

SilentBob · 21/05/2009 14:29

My neice's name is Summer- she is 5. I love it.

boodleboot · 21/05/2009 15:53

ooh not for a boy....Winter is a girls name IMO.

Gillyan · 21/05/2009 16:47

christiana I didn't realise you were going for that either! How funny - It is a lovely name and I'm so glad I came across it! We will have gorgeous little 'summer' babies!
