I'm feeling like I need to log ideas here when i have them, cos frankly I don't get inspired all that often.

No idea whether having boy or girl, so just mulling over both at the moment.

Surname is one syllable, so want at least two for first name

Also like Matilda

and middle name would be Margeret (hubby doesnt know this yet ).

Margaret. God I can't even spell it!

It sounds like a brand of contraceptive pill

fucksticks · 19/05/2009 13:28

Sounds like a tampon

lynniep · 19/05/2009 13:29

def contraceptive pill, I love it every time somebody suggests yasmin.. I can't reply 'it's a contraceptive pill' when they've already named their dd it.. {grin]
sorry, anyway, lisette- no, not really my thing. It's not terminally awful though.

sockmonster · 19/05/2009 15:49

matilda is nice, no mini tampon range named matilda, that would work

Wilkiepedia · 19/05/2009 15:55

Fucksticks - that is EXACTLY what I thought when I read the title. No, sounds too like a tampon brand I'm afraid.

Seriously, buy a baby name book and have a good read through it and keep checking the threads on here for inspiration.

Matilda is lovely.

I would have had Edie for a girl but ours is another blue one.

Makes me sing

lisette lisette
t'as une drole de binette
t'as toujours mal partout
et tu te plains de tout.......

lotspot · 19/05/2009 17:04

made me think of hair lice once said aloud - although i'm probably pronouncing it wrong lol

lynniep · 19/05/2009 17:09

well... I think I get the message .

Matilda is still my first choice. I just want other ideas in case I run that one past DH and he says no way.

Its just that Matilda is pretty popular at the moment. But then who gives a toss really.

I thought of another one...
Damn its gone. I knew I should have posted it straight away.

Horrible. Sounds made up and a bit 80s.

weepootle · 19/05/2009 19:56

I agree with everyone else; contraceptive pill, made-up, 80's.

Matilda is a gorgeous name .

hoppybird · 19/05/2009 19:59

There is a pretty actress named Lysette Anthony. It looks better with a 'y' I think. Not really to my taste, but not terrible.

dizzydixies · 19/05/2009 20:29

I knew a Lisette at uni, she was a bit of a stuck up cow BUT it wasn't a made up name apparently

not to my taste and not a patch on Matilda imho
