Yes, very nice.

LaDiDaDi · 18/05/2009 14:24

I like Isabelle but I'm not sure if it goes with Tom and Ben tbh but perhaps it's because I'm saying the names in that order and it's Ben that doesn't flow next to Isabelle?

Sorry, this isn't very helpful.

LaDiDaDi · 18/05/2009 14:24

Ah, Tom, Ben and Issy sounds lovely.

they do go well together - but just out of interest, why is it that there are loads of threads asking if names go with the names of existing siblings?
Yes, if you have a Will, then maybe don't choose Grace and the same with Bill and Ben etc., but for other names, I don't see why it's so important?
Only my opinion...maybe I'm in the minority..but aside from obvious pairings of names likie Bill and Ben, Dick and Dom etc., matching names with our 4 boys didn't come into it. We picked the name on its own merits.

mummy2t · 18/05/2009 14:29

its not that it MUST go nice together, just that i would prefer them too. Tom and Ben are quite traditional old fashioned names and then if we had something really out there and modern for the next one it wouldnt sound as nice

I see. I can totally understand you wanting to pick names that don't clash or avoiding names that are too similar, I was just wondering - I didn't really think about that when we named our dcs! We just wanted each of them to have a different initial so that post wouldn't get muddled up as they got older!!

mummy2t · 18/05/2009 14:35

hehe!! thats good thinking, glad we have managed to avoid that too!!

my SIL has the same initial as her sister and they were always opening each other's post wehn they grew older esp as often the middle initial doesn't get used as much as in the early days of sending birthday cards to little ones!
As long as your baby doesn't have initials which spell something unsavoury, I suspect most names will go nicely with your existing children's names!
Have to find out if I'm in the minority not even considering this aspect of naming children!
