I would probably assume she was Russian, but having said that I have heard of English children with this name, and isn't there an 'it girl' - Anoushka Beckworth or something like that?

I'm Russian - I'd just name ner Anna and nn Anoushka

My sister is Anoushka, so is my cousin. They both spell it Anouska though.
