I forgot to add this to my list of boy's name (or added too late in the day). If anyone has a spare minute, what do you think of this?

I used to love it but now that the Pope sports the name... it has fallen out of favour.

MrsJamin · 17/05/2009 07:24

nowt wrong with benjamin.

tribpot · 17/05/2009 07:31

I love it. Didn't make the pope connection myself.

slackrunner · 17/05/2009 08:09

I love it. In fact I was only saying to dh yesterday that I loved it lol. I think of Benedict Cumberbatch - bit of posh acting totty - not the pope!

dinkymum · 17/05/2009 10:05

i too was saying to my DH that this was a lovely name for a boy although theres a little girl at DD's nursery called this!!?

belgo · 17/05/2009 10:06

I like it.

chilliNchocolate · 17/05/2009 10:19

It was on my hotlist too. In the end we went with the name of an ancestor though - always liked Benedict as a name though.

peppapig3 · 17/05/2009 15:45

Benjamin is nice too but DH dosen't like it- just too popular for him! The only thing that puts me of Benedict is the Catholic connection as we are not!

Eggs
But I do like Benjamin. Would you use the full name all the time or just call him Ben?

snickersnack · 17/05/2009 15:48

I know a Benedict. It's really grown on me. They call him Ben, though.

sockmonster · 17/05/2009 16:29

Eggs and failed shakesperean actors. And now popes. It's not awful, not brilliant though imho (sorry!)
