Initials IVF

I'd love to call my daughter Isobel Victoria, but our surname starts with an F, meaning her initials would be IVF. My DP doesn't think this would be anything to worry about, wondered what others think? Would people laugh or assume she was conceived by IVF (she wasn't).

Also, as an Isobel, would she have to keep correcting varient spellings of her name, eg Isabel, Isabelle etc?

The initials wouldn't bother me.

People cock my surname all the time even though it's dead easy so I wouldn't worry about that either.

It's not an issue to worry about IMO.

It's very rare that you need to write your initials down anywhere.

Not a big deal at all in my opinion. Much more important to go with names you love. Beyond your initial birth announcement (where you can laugh it off if anyone mentions it) people probably wont even notice.

Thanks for your comments. I'm probably over analysing this, after all, I've no idea what the middle names or initials are of any of the children in my circle of friends and family.

At my secondary school, we had to have our initials embroidered in red on our aertex games shirts and our pleated navy games skirts, so we all knew who had funny initials - but I doubt any school would still insist on this!

It's pretty rare to have to write down all 3 initials like that, and relatively few people will know what her middle name is anyway. If you love the name I wouldn't let it bother you.
