girl or boy?

atigercametotea · 06/05/2009 15:25

maybe not............

BaldBabyBlackBeard is much better!

Hassled · 06/05/2009 15:25

Sorry, but you're insane. Redbeard is way too 70s - have you considered Bluebeard?

atigercametotea · 06/05/2009 15:25

maybe not............

PuppyMonkey · 06/05/2009 15:27

What are sibs' names? They need to match of course. And what about initials?

Kathyis6incheshigh · 06/05/2009 15:28

Bluebeard is nice but I know loads of little Bluebeards - at least Redbeard is more unusual.
If he doesn't actually have a red beard when he grows up he can always henna it. Or do a lot of piratical fighting so it is dripping with blood....

PirateVinegarTitsOhArrrrr · 06/05/2009 15:29

What ye think about Barbarossa then?

What is the name of your ship? Eg Captain Redbeard of the Black Pig would sound silly.

Wigglesworth · 06/05/2009 15:35

Not keen on Redbeard. How about beardedclam or scruffyblackwithflecksofgreyfortheloveofchristpleasetrimyourfannybeard?

KAEKAE · 07/05/2009 15:54

Perhaps gingerbeard?

Peachy · 07/05/2009 16:06

Surely you should be looking along the lines of Son-O'- redbeard / Son-o'-grey-beard, or indeed as we tastefully selected, son-o'potbellied-geek-with-trekky-tendencies-and-a-goatie-beard

I do find a very useful name though is son-o'-dad-o'-redbeard; by the time your average villager has worked that one out you can pillage an entire hamlet

lunamoon2 · 09/05/2009 19:22

pml at Wigglesworth

HellHathNoFury · 09/05/2009 19:25

I really don't like it.

It makes me think of a pirate.

Sorry.

Oh my goodnes - I haven't laughed so much in a good while...

The " what is the name of your ship" was brilliant. Kathyis6incheshigh - I like your style.

But what if he wants to be an accountant or civil servant?
Personally I prefer Colin.

savoycabbage · 13/05/2009 03:51

If it's a girl you could have Santa like Santa Palmer-Tomkinson to keep the beard theme.

Perhaps you could have Colin as a middle name just in case but not for his first name as he might be picked on if his name is too different.
