I don't like any of the second names.
Prefer Charlotte Amber.
I would miss out the 'a' and have Rachel.

RachieB · 30/04/2009 23:46

definitely Rachel ( no a)

I am always Rach, & Rachie to my nieces and nephew! lol

Also like Charlotte ( Lottie)& Niamh

thumbwitch · 30/04/2009 23:56

I like the name Sasha, have no concept of it being a dog's name BUT if we're going to be frighteningly pedantic, Sasha is really a male diminuitive of Alexander, Sanya is the female equivalent (in Russian). Having said that, even the Russians use Sasha for girls as well so pedantry is probably dead!

I like Alexandra Charlotte and think Sasha is the nicest of the NNs available.

SuziSeis · 30/04/2009 23:57

Have CAT ed you!

Do not however do Charlotte Bronte

SuziSeis · 30/04/2009 23:58

thumbwitch · 01/05/2009 01:11

Alexandra Bronte Rowen is lovely!

pointydog · 01/05/2009 17:46

Alexandra - yes, I really like the sort name Alex too

Rachael - prefer Rachel spelling, but good name

Amber - ok

Charlotte - yes, nice

Alexandra Bronte Niamh
Charlotte Amber
Rachael Amber Niamh
Amber Bronte Niamh

Do you really want two middle names?

FairLadyOfMuslinCloth · 01/05/2009 17:53

I think Amber Bronte Niamh is the best...but all the names on your list are nice

mogwai · 01/05/2009 18:47

I've really come round to Alexandra Bronte Rowen. And Sacha or Alex for short.

Thanks for your opinions.

Yeah - I do want three names. DD1 has three names (4 syllable, 2 syllable, 1 syllable) and they sit nicely. I'd feel mean if the next one only got two!

We don't know the sex.

If it's a boy it's Oscar William Tom

pointydog · 01/05/2009 18:53

oo yes, I do like Alex.

(Much prefer Rowan to Rowen )

mogwai · 01/05/2009 19:25

But isn't Rowan the boy's spelling? There's a female Rowen in DD's nursery

Thumbwitch

generally Sacha is for a boy

Sascha /Sasha is girl

I know a girl Sacha but it is rare

FairLadyOfMuslinCloth · 01/05/2009 21:45

Sascha in Germany is a boys name

SuziSeis · 01/05/2009 21:46

in Italy friends have a girl one fairlady

i do really like that spelling actually

FairLadyOfMuslinCloth · 01/05/2009 21:49

well, in english sch is pronounced sc/sk though....which doesn't really work...

SuziSeis · 01/05/2009 21:52

good thinking

The Sacha i know got some stick on starting secondary school by a Sasha who asked Sacha why she was called Sa -ch- a!

the latter is a feisty thing though and laughed it off! soon stopped

Kotek · 02/05/2009 00:23

hi
i like alexandra and charlotte, but would go with alexandra because there are a lot more baby girls being called charlotte at the moment.

pointydog · 02/05/2009 12:16

I've known girls called Rowan. Don;t think there is a girl spelling. And I'd want to be reminded of the tree.
