What do you think?

I'm looking for a 'formal' name which can be shortened to Millie / Milly

I also like the fact that Emilia has Russian connections... as DH works in Russia full time.

So which wins:
Emilia
Emily
Emmaline
Amelia
Or something else?

Ta! HM

Amelia far less annoying spelling wise...

RachieB · 27/04/2009 15:48

Emily or Amelie

EverySingleStar · 27/04/2009 16:03

How very odd as I know a Mum with a 3-month-old called Emilia who's DP recently moved to Russia and they are emigrating next month

Anyway...she won't be using Millie, but will be using Emmy as that's specifically why she chose the 'Emilia' spelling.

I like the idea, but I prefer Emmaline overall.

We have Emilia as a middle name for our DD...

MrsMattie · 27/04/2009 16:10

Emmeline

My DD is Emilia, so that gets my vote.
People often mispell it as Emelia, which is annoying.
My dad calls her Meelsy for short, and it is catching on, unfortunately!

I love Emmeline and quite like Amelia too. Of course Camille, Camilla can also be shortened to Millie too.

KleineMaus · 01/05/2009 09:33

Definitely Emilia.

Emmeline, as in Pankhurst! But def with an e in the middle, not an a, everybody will spell it wrong for ever if you spell it like that, and annoy the hell out of her!
