What do you think of the name Chloe? I know it's kind of popular, number 7 last year I think... however I only know of one Chloe.

I myself have an unusual name for a girl, and although people compliment me on my name it has caused issues at times, so I would rather give my baby a slightly more common name.

Look forward to hearing your oppinions.

Thanks.

I don't actually know any Chloes. It's a lovely name.

TeriHatchetJob · 23/04/2009 15:41

I think it's lovely.

NervousNutty · 23/04/2009 15:42

I think it was hugely popular a few years ago and now is slightly less so but enough to not be unusual iykwim.

I have one, she is 9.

LetThemEatCake · 23/04/2009 16:42

reminds me of 24 and the oh-so-sexalicious Jack Bauer:

"Dammit Chloe!! I need satellite link-up and infra red cover NOW!!!!!!

"Dammit Chloe! crack the code NOW!"

"Dammit Chloe! If we can't do this then the death of the President is on our heads. So figure it out. NOW!"

etc.

Very pretty name. It was very popular about 5 years ago but not so much now. I know 3 chloes who are children and 1 grown up one.

Lovely name.

MrsMattie · 23/04/2009 17:20

Lovely. It was very popular in the 90s, not so much now, I don't think. The only Chloe I know is in her 30s.

It was on our shortlist for DD.

DanJARMouse · 23/04/2009 17:22

I wanted Chole but was put off by people telling me how popular it was .. wish I hadnt listened

LittleMissWorryHead · 24/04/2009 09:35

I have a Chloe. She's 9 and it is very popular with her age group, BUT its a timeless stunning name and I am so glad I picked it - we have an unusual surname which helps too. It does bug me that so many people spell it wrong though - my friend STILL writes Cloe.

I know LOADS of little Chloes. It's very popular at school with at least one in most classes. Nice name, though.
